Jack's Poems

Paper

So White
So Plain
So Simple
So Strange
What to do with this boring sheet
I could
Write scribble
Or keep it neat
Fold a crane
Make a train
Draw a troll
Write an actors roll
Wrap salami
Fold origami
There are
M
I
L
L
I
O
N
S
Of possibilities
for this boring sheet

Squeak

The sound of the
bright
yellow
Shiny
hard
clanky
Doorknob
The feeling of Freedom to do whatever I want
No numbers
Letters
Or confusion

Until HOMEWORK

A perfect snack

The waffle so hot
The waffle so sweet
If you've ever skiied to the waffle cabin you know my friend pete
After eight overs on the slopes I wanted something to eat
I made my last stop
And ate my waffle treat

Gone

The cool spring breeze has begun to change
The suns rays are brighter than ever
There are no calm spring showers
Or blooming flowers
Just
Hot
Humid
Arid

Summer
